Obituary for Helen M. Hoogstra
HOOGSTRA, Helen M. (nee Micks) – 95, of Mahwah passed away on January 8, 2017. Born in Scranton, Pennsylvania she has lived in Mahwah for the past 18 years. She was a real estate agent with Century 21 in Franklin Lakes and also worked at a Gift Shop in Ridgewood. A member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Ridgewood, Helen was also a member of the Mahwah Seniors.
Beloved wife of the late Gary Hoogstra. Dear sister of Irene Hempstead of North Haledon and Alice Tanis of Midland Park. Loving aunt of many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 155 Linwood Avenue, Ridgewood, NJ.
The family requests donations be made in Helen’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
