DREXL, Joseph – 86, of Wyckoff passed away on January 26, 2017. Born in the Bronx, New York, he served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Korean War. Prior to his retirement in 1992 he was a Lineman/Supervisor with PSE&G in Clifton. An active member of Ridgewood Christian Reformed Church, Joseph served there as an Elder and Deacon, custodian and an umpire for the Church’s Softball League. Joseph was a Cadet Counselor for the Franklin Lakes Christian Reformed Church and a volunteer at the Corner Closet in Hawthorne. He loved working around his home especially in his garden.
Beloved husband of the late Jeannette (nee Bysterbusch) Drexl. Devoted father of Alan Drexl of Franklin and Karen Becraft and her husband Kent of North Carolina. Devoted grandfather of Heather Bontrager and her husband Jeremy, Brian Becraft and Rebecca, Scott and Todd Drexl. Dear brother of Betty Hahn and her husband Art of Lafayette.
The family will receive family and friends on Tuesday, January 31st from 10-12 Noon followed by a 12 Noon Service at Vander Plaat-Vermeulen Memorial Home, 530 High Mountain Road, Franklin Lakes.
