Obituary for Shirley E. Neubert (Strang)
NEUBERT, Shirley E. (nee Strang) – 92, of Franklin Lakes passed away on February 23, 2017. Born in Alplaus, NY, she lived in New Jersey and Indiana and has lived in Franklin Lakes for over 60 years. Prior to her retirement in 2005 she worked in the Loan Department of the Hudson City Savings Bank in Paramus. Shirley was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Wyckoff and of the Eastern Star in Hawthorne. She was a Navy Veteran of World War II and Korea.
Devoted mother of Linda Vanston and her husband James of Franklin Lakes and Richard Neubert and his wife Joan of North Carolina. Loving grandmother of Rebecca and great grandmother of Gabriella and Lisa. Dear sister of Jean Young of Florida and the late Beverly Vander Wiele. She was the daughter of the late Sadie Depew Strang and Clarence Gordon Strang.
The family will receive family and friends on Wednesday from 4:00-7:00 PM at Vander Plaat-Vermeulen Memorial Home, 530 High Mountain Road, Franklin Lakes. A graveside memorial service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM at Cedar Lawn Cemetery, Paterson.
