Obituary for Mary Angela "Ann" Schifferdecker (Orlando)
SCHIFFERDECKER (nee Orlando) Mary Angela, 92, of Hudson, FL, recently passed away of old age.
Mary Angela (known by friends and family as Ann) was born in East Paterson, New Jersey, to Alexander and Maria Orlando. She was the first born of 4 sisters, all of whom have predeceased her. After graduating from High School, Ann went to work for the Barbizon Corporation as a switchboard operator. It was there that she met the love of her life, Otto. Otto and Ann were married in 1946 after Otto served his country in World War 2. Ann had successful careers as a Stanley Home Products demonstrator/sales person, and a restaurant server for a variety of establishments. Together they had three children James Schifferdecker, Valerie Capp, and Christopher Schifferdecker.
She is survived by her husband Otto, her three children, 5 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.
Funeral Services Friday, June 16, 2017 at 10:30 AM at Vander Plaat-Vermeulen Memorial Home, 530 High Mountain Road, Franklin Lakes, New Jersey. Interment Cedar Lawn Cemetery, Paterson, New Jersey.
