Peter William Testaverde, 69 of Franklin Lakes NJ, died June 13, 2017 surrounded by his loved ones.
Peter was born July 30, 1947 in Brooklyn NY to Peter and Josephine Testaverde. He attended Stuyvesant High School in New York City. He continued his education at Brooklyn College graduating in 1964 with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting. He served in the Army Reserves.
Peter was an accountant and advisor to Wall Street since the day he was a junior accountant at Oppenheim, Appel, Dixon till his passing as a Partner at EisnerAmper. During that journey there was Goldstein, Golub, Kessler, American Express Tax and Business Services and RSM McGladrey. He was a recognized industry leader, many jokingly calling him “the legend”. More than anything else, all who worked with him for over 40 years, would call him Mentor and to colleagues his influence will always be remembered.
He enjoyed watching his NY Jets and Giants football teams, entertaining family and friends at his famous bar-b-que’s and spending time with his beloved grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Kathleen, daughters and spouses Kerry & Richard Morath, Alicia & Jim Quealy, Christine Testaverde & Dave Chnowski, Corinne & Adam Davis; grandchildren Peter & Joey Morath and Kaitlyn & Ryan Quealy; sister and spouse Janet & Richard Nici, and mother-in-law Virginia Drabeck.
The family will receive family and friends on Friday from 2:00-5:00 and 7:00-9:00PM at Vander Plaat-Vermeulen Memorial Home, 530 High Mountain Road, Franklin Lakes.
Funeral Services Saturday 10:00 AM at the funeral home.
Interment Ascension Cemetery, Monsey, NY.
