Obituary for Elizabeth Jongsma (Buma)
JONGSMA, Elizabeth (nee Buma) – 88, of Hawthorne passed away on March 2, 2018. Born in Paterson, she has lived in Hawthorne for the past 55 years.
She was a member of Unity Christian Reformed Church in Prospect Park.
Beloved wife of the late Harold R. Jongsma (1983).
Devoted mother of Harold Jongsma of Hawthorne, Kenneth Jongsma and his wife Dee of Haskell, Thomas Jongsma and his wife Carrie of Franklin Lakes, David Jongsma of Hawthorne, Sharon Nardone and her husband Frank of Rahway and the late Steven Jongsma and his surviving wife, Laurie.
The family will receive family and friends on Monday from 4-7 pm at Plaat-Vermeulen Memorial Home, 530 High Mountain Road, Franklin Lakes.
Funeral Services Tuesday 10:30 am at the funeral home.
Interment Fair Lawn Memorial Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in Elizabeth’s memory to the Hawthorne Volunteer Ambulance Corps., 970 Goffle Road, Hawthorne, NJ 07506.
